After 5 years of a real estate market downturn, home prices continue to fall across much of the US. Standard and Poor's Case Shiller Home Price Index reports that 19 of the 20 metro areas in the index recorded price declines between September and October this year. On an annual basis, prices have fallen about 3% nationwide since October 2010.
