In today's Tallahassee real estate blog, we're passing along some info from CNNMoney: the rich are scooping up real estate home deals.  Could it be that professional investors and money managers see a good opportunity to buy homes that are going up in value over the next 10 years?

All 20 major metor area tracked by DataQuick Information Systems saw a rise in high-end home buying.  One reason is that jumbo home loans have become much cheaper.  Mortgage rates across the board remain extremely low by historical standards, but this is not likely to reamin so.  Many wealthy clients feel the best time to buy is now. 

In Tallahassee, home sales above $500,000 came storming back in the second half of 2010, with 31 Tallahassee homes sold altogether.  Compare this to the 19 homes sold in the latter half of 2009... that's a 63% increase in high-end Tallahassee home sales.  Click to see Tallahassee Homes Over $500,000 that sold so far in 2011!
